Rose Garden Inn Experience the fairy tale character of the Rose
Garden Inn. Five charming buildings offer forty uniquely
decorated guest rooms all with private baths. Beautiful
flowering gardens, soothing fountains and outdoor murals delight

The
Fay House at Telegraph and Stuart Streets
The Fay House was built by the Marshall brothers in 1903 after
selling the Main House. They designed the house to be larger
and more elaborate than the main house - and it really is something
special. Acquired and converted to a B&B in 1984 - the Fay
house has retained all of its original grandeur.
Rear
Patio Deck Area
Known
for our gardens, the Rose Garden Inn is a feast for the senses.
Numerous varieties of roses, hydrangeas, vines and bulbs create
a blanket of color. Fragrant Jasmine and trumpet vine fill the
air with the fresh scent of spring. There is ample seating throughout
the property so that you may enjoy our gardens as well as the
beautiful Berkeley weather.
Our upper deck between the Fay and Main houses is surrounded by murals and quite intimate. It is the perfect place for a small luncheon or afternoon tea.
Main
House Sitting Area Offers
a comfortable place to relax out of your room and near the breakfast
buffet and afternoon tea. Relax in one of the comfortable chairs
in the warmth of the many leaded or stained glass windows.
Main
House Entry The
Main House was built by the Marshall brothers in 1901 as their
primary residence. The Marshall brothers were in the concrete
business and poured most of the sidewalks in Berkeley. One of
their innovations was designing poured concrete to look like
stone - a detail very prominent in the Main house. The main
house was the first of our 5 buildings to be converted into
a B&B in 1971.
The
Greenhouse Its
not just for plants - but breakfast and afternoon tea too! Small
parties can use the adjacent private deck. A great summer venue
to relax and enjoy the Rose Garden experience.
